What's the difference between an isolation suit and a surgical suit?
Medical personnel use disposable gowns to avoid contact with blood, body fluids, and other infectious substances, or to protect patients from infection. Disposable protective clothing is not suitable for surgical Settings or where there may be high exposure to fluids or other harmful fluids.
• Level 1 protective clothing:
Minimal risk, such as in basic care, standard isolation, protective clothing, or standard medical Settings
> Provides a slight barrier to small amounts of liquid penetration
> Perform a single test of water on the surface of the protective clothing material to assess barrier protection performance.
• Level 2 protective clothing:
Low risk, such as for use in blood draws, sutures, intensive care units (ICU), or pathology laboratories
> Provide a barrier to prevent large amounts of liquid from seeping through splashes and to prevent some of the liquid from being exposed by soaking
